North Florida Growing Note

Biscamp Pear is a good low-to-moderate-chill choice for North Florida, the Florida Panhandle, South Alabama, and other warm Southern growing areas.

Young trees need regular watering while becoming established, especially during dry weather and when planted in sandy Florida soil. Avoid excessive fertilizer because overly vigorous new growth can be more susceptible to fire blight.
